[origin: WO2011009855A1] The invention relates to a banknote processing device comprising a sleeve removal station (4) and an image capturing device (14), by means of which first and second information applied to the sleeve (16) can be optically captured and digitally stored. The image capturing device (14) comprises at least one mirror (18), preferably two symmetrically disposed mirrors, in order to be able to simultaneously optically capture information on the sleeve (16) located on different sides of the stack of banknotes when a stack of banknotes is wrapped by the sleeve. The image capture can take place before or after removing the sleeve (16) from the stack of banknotes.
