[origin: WO2011009656A1] Electrical machines in which the brushes are connected to a loose copper litz wire are known. However, the procedure for making contact with a loose end of the copper litz wire is involved in the manufacturing and fitting process. As an improvement, the invention proposes a brushholder (1) for an electrical machine which has a spring lever (3), on which a brush (2) is held on a fastening section (5), electrical contact being made with said brush by means of a litz wire (10). According to the invention, one end (26) of the litz wire (10) is welded to the spring lever (3), with the result that there is a complete structural unit with which contact is then more easily made for the manufacturing and fitting process. The brushholder according to the invention is provided for electrical machines, in particular in windshield wiper motors.
