Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2457618A1] The face mask has a filter material that is provided with an inner layer, an outer layer and an intermediate layer. The intermediate layer has electrostatically charged staple fibers or electrostatically charged filaments or electrostatically charged fiber-networks. A powdery absorption material is applied on the electrostatically charged fibers of the intermediate layer. The absorption material is selected from hydrophobic zeolites hydrophobic porous polymers or crystalline metal-organic complexes, where activated carbon is provided.
