[origin: EP2458091A2] The snow cat (1) has a winch assembly (2) with a rotatable winch (3) and a reel (6), on which a winch wire is wound up and kept unrolled. The wire length is used for a winding operation of a snow cat and is greater than 1200 meters, particularly 1250 to 1500 meters. An independent claim is also included for a winch assembly with a capstan head.
