Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011012515A2] The invention relates to an aqueous barrier solution for protecting skin from non-water-soluble substances, characterized in that the solution comprises a product of a fatty acid or mixtures or salts thereof and a basic amino acid or salts or mixtures thereof, and additionally at least one emulsifier able to form a film, having an HLB value in the range of 12-25. The solution has a pH of 7.5-9, and is suitable for protecting skin from contamination with oils, fats, paints, lacquers, soot, graphite, rust, fine-particulate metal oxides, other dusty grit, and products containing bitumen.
