Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2460596A1] A steel containing copper (0.05-0.5%, preferably 0.15-0.35%), is cast in strand or strip caster, with casting speed of 4.5-5 m/minute or more, to obtain strand or strip having maximum thickness of 130 mm. The obtained strand or strip is solidified and subjected to continuous rolling or semi-endless rolling for less than 5.8 minutes (preferably, less than 4.5 minutes), to obtain alloy steel having desired thickness.
