[origin: EP2460734A1] The treatment or configuration device (30) comprises a device for guiding multi-part strip-like handle sections (62) of defined length made of two layers. The handle sections have foil strips (35) provided with an adhesive layer and the labels (42,43) applied on the adhesive layer of the foil strip. The continuous supply units are coupled with each other for the foil strips and the labels. An adhesive applicator (52) is provided for application of adhesive on the foil strips and on the label material (45). The labels comprise Radio-frequency identificationchips. An independent claim is also included for a method for attaching a strap-like handle at a container.
