Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2460942A2] The automatic sanitary fixture (10) has a housing (12) having a water outlet opening (30), and a water inlet opening (18) to which a water supply pipe (20) is connected. A water valve (22) is provided for selectively blocking and release of a water flow path (32) in housing. A proximity sensor (26) is provided for detecting area below the water outlet opening approaches the object. An evaluation and control unit (24) is provided to actuate the water valve for opening or closing the water flow path, based on the detection result of the proximity sensor.
