The unit (10) has a profile device (22) including a support profile (24) attached to a supporting structure (36). The support profile frames an upper end region (20) of a glass disk (18) with a lower region of the support profile from a side of the glass disk, where the lower region is formed by a vertical leg of an angle profile. The profile device includes another support profile (26) attached to the former support profile. The latter support profile frames the upper end region of the glass disk with another vertical leg from another side resting against the former side.

Eine Verglasung 10 besitzt zumindest eine Glasscheibe 18 und zumindest eine Profilvorrichtung 22, die an einer Tragkonstruktion 36 befestigt ist, wobei die Glasscheibe 18 mit ihrem oberen Endbereich 20 durch die Profilvorrichtung an der Tragkonstruktion 36 befestigt ist. Die Profilvorrichtung 22 besitzt ein erstes Stützprofil 24, das an der Tragkonstruktion 36 befestigt ist und das mit seinem unteren Bereich den oberen Endbereich 20 der Glasscheibe 18 von einer ersten Seite her einrahmt. Die Profilvorrichtung 22 besitzt auch ein zweites Stützprofil 26, das an dem ersten Stützprofil 24 verhakend befestigt werden kann und das mit seinem unteren Bereich den oberen Endbereich 20 der Glasscheibe 18 von einer der ersten Seite gegenüber liegenden zweiten Seite her einrahmt.
