[origin: WO2011015214A1] The invention relates to a bottle crate for the storage and transport of bottles, comprising a crate base (11), crate corners (13), side walls (14, 15, 16, 17) extending between the crate corners (13) and a plurality of compartments (21) separated from one another by means of compartment walls (20) to receive one bottle in each compartment. The crate (1) is formed of foamed plastic, at least in the side walls (14, 15, 16, 17) and the crate corners (13), and, at the same time, forms at least the outside (18) and inside (19) of the side walls (14, 15, 16, 17) and crate corners (13). By using this arrangement, a bottle crate is provided whose manufacture can be implemented simply and cost effectively and whose configuration permits simple handling in use.
