[origin: WO2011015329A1] A gas engine (10) comprises a combustion chamber (16), a prechamber (34) that is at least temporally connected to the combustion chamber (16), a gas supply (54) for feeding fuel gas into the prechamber (34), and an ignition device (56) for igniting the fuel gas present in the prechamber (34). According to the invention, the gas engine (10) comprises an air supply (38, 42 to 48) with which air can be fed to the prechamber (34).
