[origin: EP2463424A1] A section of the shaped knit fabric is described by vector contour data loaded in memory of draft unit, and a diagram based on vector contour data of graphical representation (2) of the cut and a diagram based on vector contour data in a table (1) of the section are displayed in parallel on a display device. The contour data is changed graphically using an input tool (4) or is changed over the table. A change in the graphical representation to a corresponding change in the table and vice versa is displayed together with a symbolic representation of basic pattern (3).
