Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2463613A1] The device (1) has an opening panel (6) providing access to a side door (3) of a military vehicle. Each of the opening panel and the door includes a hinge, where axes of rotation of the hinge are parallel to one another. The opening panel is wider than the door and positioned to face the door such that the opening panel completely covers the door. The opening panel includes a slide (7) perpendicular to axis of rotation of the opening panel, where the slide is connected to the door by a rigid arm (8) integral with the door.
