[origin: EP2375389A1] The sensor (1) has sensor units (7) working together with a stationary lens unit and outputting an electronic movement detection signal. A detection range changing and/or adjusting unit comprises a manually operated adjusting device (11) for adjusting a cover (9) relative to the sensor units, where the adjusting device is accommodated in a sensor housing (4). The adjusting device includes a threaded element (12) designed as a spindle or spindle nut and causes position change of the cover along a linear movement path, where the cover or the threaded element is designed as a plastic element.
