Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2463845A1] The method involves estimating passage time of an aircraft at a trial point. Positions of mobile obstacles (O2) e.g. stormy zones, at the time are extrapolated. A collision trail is performed to determine whether a trial vector intercepts the mobile obstacles at extrapolated positions and stationary obstacles (O1) e.g. hills. Critical points are determined on sides of the trial point based on trial result. The critical points are automatically linked to form a free zone (ZL) around a flight trajectory (TV). The trajectory and the zone are automatically displayed on an aircraft display screen. An independent claim is also included for a device for aiding to evaluate flight trajectory to be followed by an aircraft in a constrained environment, comprising databases.
