[origin: EP2463969A2] The head (18) has a positioner (6) comprising accommodators whose width is larger than distance between two forging dies. The forging dies press a connector. The accommodators have a predetermined position and/or orientation behind the forging dies in two operating positions of the positioner, respectively. The positioner is formed as a turret. The connector includes a crimping area, which is formed with a stripped cable end in the forging dies during a crimping operation and formed by a pair of die halves.
