[origin: EP2465466A1] The device e.g. light curing device (10), has a housing (12), and a light source (14) i.e. LED, staying in connection to an energy source (20) and a control device (36). The energy source is formed by an energy storage in form of double-layer capacitors (26, 28) i.e. lithium-ion capacitors, in addition to the energy source. The double-layer capacitors exhibit capacitance of 4 Farad. The double-layer capacitors are connected in parallel and/or series and with each other by equalization circuits. The device exhibits an operating mode in which energy is provided for the LED.
