Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2465702A1] The device has a rotary cutter (34) for cutting an envelope. A rotary bearing element (40) e.g. smooth bearing or rolling bearing, faces the cutter and against which the envelope is in contact when the element passes in front of the cutter. A rotational axis (42) of the element forms a preset inclination angle with a drive axis of the cutter, where the angle lies in the range of 1 to 5 degrees. The element is mounted on a support (44) provided with a presser element (56) that is offset laterally relative to a cutting axis (P) passing through the rotational axis and through the drive axis.
