Abstract (en)
The security element comprises a transparent or translucent substrate (4) that is provided with front and rear surfaces. An optically variable surface layer (5) is formed at the front surface, and an optically variable back layer (6) is formed at the rear surface. The front and back layers are overlapped at an overlapping region of the substrate. Recess structures are formed in the overlap region of optically variable front layer and/or optically variable back layer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) data carrier; and (2) manufacturing method of security element.

Offenbart wird ein Sicherheitselement (3) für einen Datenträger (1), umfassend ein transparentes oder transluzentes Substrat (4) mit einer Vorder- und einer Rückseite, eine auf der Vorderseite angeordnete, optisch variable Vorderseitenschicht (5) und eine auf der Rückseite angeordnete, optisch variable Rückseitenschicht (6), wobei die Vorderseitenschicht und die Rückseitenschicht in einem Überlappungsbereich überlappend angeordnet sind und innerhalb des Überlappungsbereichs zumindest eine Strukturierung (9,10,11) in Form einer Veränderung oder einer Aussparung in der optisch variablen Vorderseiten- und/ oder der optisch variablen Rückseitenschicht ausgebildet ist.
