Abstract (en)
The method involves detecting and classifying pedestrians (32, 34) and a vehicle (36) in a region of foot paths (14, 16) using camera systems. A position of the pedestrians and the vehicle is determined using stereo cameras (46, 48) of the camera system. A road section is blocked by traffic lighting systems (24-30) e.g. alternating light traffic signal systems, for the vehicle when the pedestrians and the vehicle are detected in the region of the foot paths. The road section is characterized as the pedestrian, and the region of the foot paths is adjacent to a pedestrian crossing (18). An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling a traffic light assembly in a pedestrian crossing, comprising camera systems.
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Steuerung mindestens einer Lichtzeichenanlage an einem Fußgängerüberweg (18) mit Hilfe einer kamerabasierten Objekterfassung. Mit Hilfe eines Kamerasystems (46, 48) wird zumindest ein Objekt (32, 34) in einem an einen als Fußgängerüberweg (18) gekennzeichneten Fahrbahnabschnitt angrenzenden Bereich eines Fußwegs (14, 18) detektiert und klassifiziert. Zumindest wenn ein als Fußgänger (32, 34) klassifiziertes Objekt in diesem Bereich detektiert wird, wird der Fahrbahnabschnitt des Fußgängerüberwegs (18) für Fahrzeuge (36) durch die Lichtzeichenanlage gesperrt.
