[origin: WO2011020557A1] The invention relates to a guide rail for a sliding wall, comprising several sliding wall elements (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10), in which each sliding wall element (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) is slidably seated on particularly two track carriages (3.1, 3.2), wherein the guide rail (1.1) can be connected to and/or separated from a diverging guide rail (1.2) by way of a switch point (1), which can be controlled by the track carriages (3.1, 3.2). The invention provides that for adjusting the switch point (1), at least one track carriage (3.1, 3.2) of a sliding wall element (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) assumes a position, which is arranged beyond the switch point (1).
