[origin: WO2011020508A1] The aim of the invention is to devise a disconnector (1) for switchgear which disconnector allows for a compact and space-saving design. The disconnector (1) according to the invention has a disconnector stationary contact (2), a disconnector moving contact (3) and a disconnector drive shaft (9) which is mechanically coupled to the disconnector moving contact (3) by means of an insulating coupling rod (8), the disconnector stationary contact (2), the disconnector moving contact (3) and the disconnector drive shaft (9) being arranged linearly and the disconnector drive shaft (9) and the coupling rod (8) being designed to allow a 180° rotation.
