[origin: WO2011020594A1] The invention relates to an electrochemical cell (1) with at least one electrode stack (4), at least one current conductor (3) that is connected to at least one electrode stack (4) and a casing (2, 10) that at least partially surrounds the electrode stack (4). At least one current conductor (3) extends from an opening (9) and partly out of the casing (2, 10) and the casing (2, 10) has a first layer (5) that is made of an electrically conductive material. In addition, at least one insulating element (6, 8) is situated in the vicinity of the opening (9) between said first layer (5) of the casing (2, 10) and the current conductor (3).
