[origin: EP2469003A1] The window frame comprises a bottom threshold profile (5), a vertical frame profile (4) and an adapter element (6) for connecting the bottom threshold profile with the frame profile. The adapter element is welded with the vertical frame profile, which is partially cut in a corner region of a miter adjoining to the threshold profile and has a miter angle that is partially formed at the adapter element. The threshold profile is partially cut in the corner region adjoining to the vertical frame profile, and partially consists of a weldable plastic material. The window frame comprises a bottom threshold profile (5), a vertical frame profile (4) and an adapter element (6) for connecting the bottom threshold profile with the frame profile. The adapter element is welded with the vertical frame profile, which is partially cut in a corner region of a miter adjoining to the threshold profile and has a miter angle that is partially formed at the adapter element. The threshold profile is partially cut in the corner region adjoining to the vertical frame profile, and partially consists of a weldable plastic material. The vertical frame profile is partially arranged adjacent to the threshold profile and partially extends into a contact plane of the threshold profile. The adapter element: forms a portion of a side surface of the vertical frame profile; extends over a partial area of a window frame width of the vertical frame profile; and is adhesively, mechanically connected and/or welded with the threshold profile. A side wall of the adapter element is formed across the threshold profile.
