The filter unit (2) has a filter element (3) having a filter (30) and a filter mount. A protective plate (5) made of glass, is detachably fastened to the filter element. The protective plate is detachably fastened to a baffle plate provided at the bottom of the filter mount. The length (A) and width (B) of the protective plate are dimensioned corresponding to the length (a) and width (b) of baffle plate.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Filtereinheit (2) für eine Dunstabzugshaube (1), wobei die Filtereinheit (2) wenigstens ein Filterelement (3) aufweist, wobei das wenigstens eine Filterelement (3) wenigstens einen Filter (30) und wenigstens eine Filterhalterung (31) aufweist. Die Filtereinheit (2) ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass an dem wenigstens einen Filterelement (3) wenigstens eine Schutzplatte (5) lösbar befestigt ist.
