Abstract (en)
The cooking appliance (1) comprises a cooking chamber (2) which is heated by steam of a steam source (3). A cooking level (25,26,27) is provided in the cooking chamber for cooking of food (21). A steam guide comprises steam inlet openings for uniform distribution of the steam. The cooking level is supplied with steam from top and bottom for heating. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a cooking appliance.

Gargerät (1) und Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Gargerätes mit einem Garraum (2), der über Dampf (9) einer Dampfquelle (3) beheizbar ist, wobei in dem Garraum (2) eine Garebene (24-26) zur Garung von Speisen (21) vorgesehen ist. Die Dampfführung (22) umfasst zur gleichmäßigen Verteilung des Dampfes (9) Dampfeinlassöffnungen (4-7), welche den Dampf (9) entlang einer Wandung (54) ausgeben. Die Dampfeinlassöffnungen (4-7) sind derart angeordnet, dass der Garebene (25-27) von oben und unten Dampf (9) zum Beheizen zugeführt wird.
