Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2469210A2] The exchanger has an assembly of stacked plates (2) defining independent circuits between which a fluid e.g. exhaust gas, to be cooled and a coolant circulate in alternate layers. A fluid circuit has a U configuration such that inlet and outlet of the fluid occupy adjacent positions at a same open end of the assembly of stacked plates. The plates define forward and return channels. The plates include a mounting flange coupled to the end. A separation unit i.e. dividing wall (7), separates input stream and output stream of the fluid. The separation unit is secured to the flange.
