Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2469579A2] The discharge lamp (1) has an ignition aid with a discharge vessel (2) which is housed in an outer bulb. A frame is provided for accommodating the discharge vessel in the outer bulb, and a UV-enhancer is arranged in the outer bulb. The UV-enhancer is arranged in UV transparent container. The container encloses a cavity which is filled with a gas to produce the UV radiation. The UV-enhancer associated electrode is located in the cavity.
