[origin: WO2011023318A1] The invention relates to a device, a method and a tool (1) for producing a rimmed passage in a component (2), having a bottom die unit (4) and a punch apparatus (3), wherein the bottom die unit (4) can be arranged on a first component side and opposite thereto the punch apparatus (3) can be arranged on a second component side. According to the invention, the punch apparatus (3) comprises a hollow punch with a punch cavity that is matched to a bottom die portion of the bottom die unit (4) such that during a relative movement of the bottom die unit (4) and the punch apparatus (3) the bottom die portion enters the punch cavity, wherein the punched-out material area is pushed into the punch cavity.
