[origin: EP2472038A1] The hinge (33) has a fixing unit (4) for fixing a vehicle door relative to a car body. The fixing unit comprises a locking element fixed by a door console (2) and a column console (1) and adjusted relative to a hinge pin between a blocking position and a release position. An adjustment unit adjusts the locking element between the blocking position and the release position. The adjustment unit is connected with a controller unit (27) detecting an operating mode of the vehicle door and driving the adjustment unit.
