[origin: WO2011026956A1] The present invention relates to a teat to be placed in the mouth of an infant, including at least three rigidly connected portions, i.e. a nipple including, at the end thereof, at least one perforation (8) for a liquid to pass therethrough, an areola (4), and an isthmus (3) joining the nipple to the areola (4), a teat in which: the nipple includes an upper portion or palatal portion (6), and a lower portion or lingual portion, which are asymmetric; and the isthmus (3) forms the junction between the nipple and the areola (4), said junction being narrowed so as to enable the upper and lower jawbones to be well-placed, said isthmus (3) further including means for ensuring the controlled expulsion of milk from the teat, said means being a valve, a beveled opening, a flap, a diaphragm, or a biconcave lens, preferably a valve consisting of a 3 to 8 mm slot; the invention also including a bottle including a teat according to the invention, a container, and a ring for retaining the nipple on the container; the invention further including a suckling system including a bottle according to the invention including a container, and a container holder including a strap, wherein said container includes means for attaching the container holder to the container.
