Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011023352A2] The invention relates to a heat pump (1) having a first heat pump circuit (2), which comprises an input heat exchanger (4) and an output heat exchanger (8), wherein there is a primary medium from a heat source flowing through the input heat exchanger (4) in the operating state and, on the secondary side, said medium is designed to evaporate a heat pump circuit medium which flows through the first heat pump circuit (2). According to the invention, a compressor unit (6) compresses evaporated heat pump circuit medium, wherein there is a feed means, through which the compressed heat pump circuit medium can be fed to the output heat exchanger (8), and there is a secondary medium flowing through the secondary side of the output heat exchanger (8) in the operating state, said medium being at a higher temperature than the primary medium. According to the invention, the heat pump (1) comprises at least one second heat pump circuit (3) having an input heat exchanger (4) and an output heat exchanger (8), wherein the primary sides of the input heat exchangers (4) of the first and second heat pump circuit (2, 3), and the secondary sides of the output heat exchangers (8) of the first and second heat pump circuit (2, 3) in each case are connected in series.
