[origin: WO2011026924A1] The invention relates to an optical gas measurement using a VCSEL (12) and a hollow waveguide (11) connected thereto. The hollow waveguide contains the gas to be measured and conducts the light. To this end, the hollow waveguide (11) is made to vibrate. The gas measurement is carried out and integrated over a period of time. In this way, disturbances of the measurement caused by interferences are considerably reduced.
