[origin: GB2473458A] A clothing insert 1, adapted to be worn under clothing, comprises a thin pad 3 formed from semi flexible polyurethane material shaped to generally conform to the user's pubic region. The insert is lined with a layer (2, figure 2) made from moulded silicone adapted to worn nearest the user's body. The silicon layer is larger than the polyurethane layer such that an overhanging skirt 4 of softer material in use engages with the groin area of the user. The insert 1 is further provided with apertures 5 which serve as ventilation holes. In order to facilitate the fixing of the insert to the wearer's clothing it is provided with an adhesive strip 6 which may be provided with a peal-off backing. In use by women, the insert prevents clothing riding up and prevents the external appearance of their external genitalia from showing through their clothing.
