Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011029522A2] The invention relates to a fitting for a vehicle seat, especially for a motor vehicle seat, comprising a first fitting part and a second fitting part (12) that can be rotated about an axis in relation to each other and are axially held together by a clip ring (13), in addition to a spring arrangement (35), a rotatably mounted eccentric acted upon by the spring arrangement (35), and at least two bars that are acted upon by the eccentric and can be moved radially outwards, guided by the second fitting part (12) in the radial direction in relation to the axis, in order to co-operate with a toothed crown of the first fitting part, in order to lock the fitting. The spring arrangement is formed as an individual spiral spring having a first spring end (35a) that fixes the spring to a holder (12a) of one of the two fitting parts (12), and fully supports the spring thereon, said spring acting at least indirectly on the eccentric with its second spring end (35b).
