Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011076339A1] The invention relates to a device which is used to actuate an overhead door (1) and which has a door leaf (2) by means of which a door opening can be closed and which is guided at the sides by guide rollers (3) in guide rails (4). The device comprises a drive unit (8) which is arranged such that it can be moved in a drive rail (9) running in the direction of movement of the door leaf (2) above the door opening, and which is coupled mechanically to the door leaf (2). For the purpose of coupling to the door leaf (2), an integrally designed actuating rod (10) is provided, wherein one end of the actuating rod (10) is coupled in an articulated manner to the drive unit (8), and the second end of the actuating rod (10) is coupled in an articulated manner to an insert (14) which is guided in a rail (15) running on the inside of the door in the direction of movement of the door leaf (2). The insert (14) in the rail (15) can be displaced between two end stops (16a, 16b). The actuating rod (10) has a segment which, as the drive unit (8) starts to move out of an open position of the door leaf (2), can be guided against a stop on the door leaf (2), by which means the upper end of the door leaf (2) can be raised.
