[origin: WO2011029838A1] The invention relates to a ring seal (32) for a closure element (22) of a valve, particularly a valve (20) of a technical process system, comprising a ring body (34) defining a longitudinal axis (36) perpendicular to the plant of the ring body (34), and comprising a sealing surface (46) at a radially outer surface (44) with respect to the longitudinal axis (36). The ring body (34) comprises two substantially radially oriented leg segments (38, 40) at a distance from each other in the direction of the longitudinal axis (36), wherein the two leg segments (38, 40) are connected to each other by a bridge segment (42) extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis (36), the sealing surface (46) being present on the radially outer surface thereof, and wherein a radially inner surface (50) of the bridge segment (42) is at a distance in the radial direction from ends (52, 54) of the leg segments (38, 40) facing away from the sealing surface (46). The invention further relates to a sealing arrangement having such a ring seal and a valve having such a sealing arrangement.
