[origin: EP2476401A2] The stool has a supporting leg (3) with an upper end at which a seat (4) is attached. The seat comprises a seat plate and a pivot joint (10), which is arranged between the upper end of the supporting leg and the seat plate. The seat plate is formed in U-shape at a top view. The pivot joint horizontally tilts the seat plate in a seat direction and comprises an oscillating bearing i.e. ring, made of flexibly deformable material. The pivot joint comprises a locking mechanism for fixing the seat plate in a horizontal position. The seat plate is made of two seat sections.
