The pot supporting arrangement comprises gas burners (10,11,12,13) and multiple pot supporting elements (2,3,4) that form a supporting surface (25) for a cooking container in an area of the gas burner. Two pot support elements form a storage space (24) between two gas burners outside a burner flame area. An independent claim is also included for a gas stove with a cooking surface.
