Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011032676A1] The invention relates to a knife support (10) for a cutting device in rod-making machines in the tobacco processing industry, comprising at least one knife holder (11) which is arranged on the knife support (10), can be rotated about an axis of rotation R of the knife support (10), and is designed to slidably accept a knife (13). The knife is retained in the knife holder (11) by two rotatable roll elements (14) which rest against the knife on opposite sides of the knife (13). One roll element (14) is designed as a driving roll (16) in order to radially move the knife (13) outward and inward such that the driving roll (16) is prevented from freely rotating in both rotational directions. The other roll element (14) is designed as a pressing roll (15). Said knife support (10) is characterized in that the pressing roll (15) is prevented from freely rotating radially inward towards the axis of rotation R of the knife support (10).
