[origin: WO2011033360A1] A vehicle seat occupancy sensor (10) disposed in a vehicle seat (18) includes a plurality of sensor elements (14) that each activate upon receiving a pressure of a predetermined value or greater. At least two of the sensor elements (14a, 14b) are arranged along a line (L1) that is inclined from a center line of the seat which extends in a longitudinal direction of the seat, to only one of a leftward direction and a rightward direction at an inclination angle within a range of 7° to 16.5°.
