[origin: WO2011032758A1] The invention relates to a brake booster (100) comprising an electric motor (16) for a master brake cylinder (10), which is coupled to the pressure piston (11) of the master brake cylinder (10) by transmission means (15) and which increases brake pressure transmitted to the pressure piston (11) by means of a brake pedal (33). Said transmission means (15) comprise a cam disk gear which is operatively connected to the pressure piston (11) and displaces the pressure piston (11) in the master brake cylinder (10).
