[origin: WO2011032920A1] The invention relates to a drive device (1), which is used to transport the cover (10) of a liquid container, in particular of a swimming pool (2), disposed in a device space (3) that is separate from the liquid container (2), comprising at least one winding shaft (11) that interacts with the cover (10) and is coupled to the first drive unit (110). The winding shaft (11) is used to wind up the cover (10), which cover is guided over a deflection device (14) to an outlet opening (35) of the device space (3) and, at the end facing the winding shaft (11), is connected to an outer tractive element (12), which is seated against the side of the cover (10) facing away from the deflection device (14), presses said cover under tension against the deflection device (14), and wherein the tractive element is held by a first tractive device (120) and can be tensioned thereby.
