[origin: WO2011032893A2] The invention relates to plate heat exchanger (1), in particular an oil cooler for an internal combustion engine, comprising several trough-shaped heat exchanger plates (2) which are stacked on top of each other, which have several openings for a first fluid and a second fluid which is separate from the first. According to the invention, an upper cover plate (3) is provided with crossed embossed recesses (4) which are preferably complimentary to the openings of the heat exchanger plate (2) which is arranged beneath and they can be joined to each other in a sealed manner, in particular by soldering. As a result, a particularly high rigidity can be obtained.
