Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011032796A1] The invention relates to a method for providing station-based operating data of a switching station (10), wherein the switching station (10) comprises a plurality of modular control units (2) interconnected via a field bus (B). The switching station (10) is connected via the field bus (B) to an external control technology computer (1) as bus master (M) for controlling the control units (2) as slaves (S). Process data (P) as operating data are exchanged between the control technology computer (1) and the respective control units (2). According to the invention, a diagnostic data server (7) is used as a second bus master (M) in order to request diagnostic data (D) as additional operating data from the respective control units (2) independently of the data exchange between the control technology computer (1) and the control units (2) and to provide said data externally to bus clients (4, 5) connected to the diagnostic data server (7).
