[origin: WO2011035908A1] The invention relates to a guide device in an installation for shaping material (1), comprising rulers (3a, 3b) which can be applied to the two lateral sides (2a, 2b) of the material (1), pressure being applicable to at least one ruler (3a, 3b) via at least one adjusting device (4) to act upon the material (1). The guide device is characterized in that at least one ruler (3a, 3b) is mounted so as to be displaceable along a guide bar (9). A stroke chamber (7) is integrated into the guide bar (9), a piston (6) rigidly connected to the ruler (3a, 3b) being received in said stroke chamber (7) so as to be displaceable therein.
