Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011036200A1] The invention relates to a method for producing cardboard-like fiber boards or fiber board strands made of wood fibers, wherein wood fibers are glued using a bonding agent, wherein a fiber mat is generated on a spreading conveyor by means of a screen spreader head from the wood fibers glued by means of the bonding agent, wherein the screen spreader head comprises a screen floor surface and a plurality of distribution elements, and wherein a suction device is preferably disposed on the side of the screen belt conveyor opposite the screen floor surface, wherein fiber mat generated in said manner is pressed into a fiber board or a fiber board strand having a thickness of up to 3 mm in a continuous press, under the application of pressure and heat at a temperature of 120°C to 220°C and pressure of 15 bar to 50 bar.
