[origin: WO2011035778A1] The invention relates to a gas expansion motor (1), especially a compressed-air motor, comprising a compressed gas source (2), at least two piston cylinder arrangements (3) with one cylinder (4) each and a piston (5) displaceably guided therein, the piston (5) being at least partially motion-coupled in opposite directions. Every piston cylinder arrangement (3) comprises an electronically controllable inlet valve (8) connecting the working chamber (9) of the cylinder (4) to the compressed gas source (2), and an electronically controllable outlet valve (10) connecting the working chamber (9) to the surroundings. The gas expansion motor further comprises an electronic control device (12) which electronically controls the inlet valve (8) and the outlet valve (10) depending on the position of the piston.
