[origin: EP2481585A1] The method involves superimposing a printing mark (11,12) on a working track (N) of the web (10). The print mark is assigned to a printed sheet (14) of the web and has a coded print mark. An image (31) is received, which forms an area of the web, in which the superimposed print mark is placed. The print mark is searched and identified in the received image. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing a web of printing substrate to printed products.
