[origin: EP2481839A2] The apparatus has a lid rod (1), a lid foot (4) with a clothing-receiving surface, and a lid foot for laying a web (5) on the clothing strips (2) by using the clips (11). A press ram (10) is arranged transverse to the longitudinal direction of lid rod and in parallel to the fitting-receiving surface of the rod. The linearity of rod is adjusted in the longitudinal direction for adjusting the linearity of the bearing surface of a clamping unit.
